The Cherryville Community Food Bank provides monthly hampers that support low-income families, singles, seniors, and people with disabilities. In addition, we offer a weekly drop-in service where anyone in the Cherryville community can access food regardless of income or financial stability. We have an Organic Community Garden that has been in operation since 2017 that has benefited our community substantially, promoting food security and the value of giving back to the community. We value the importance of providing fresh, healthy food options and between our Organic Garden and our connections with food providers we can offer this on a consistent basis. We also support local programs such as the Elementary School Milk Program and Hot Lunch Program, Seniors’ Suppers, DVM Summer Youth Camps, and any other local group who may need food for their events or activities. “If we have it, we give it!”

Our organization has a vision for addressing the root causes of hunger. We want to provide learning opportunities for community members to learn about budgeting, healthy cooking, food sustainability, efficient ways to store food, resourceful grocery shopping, and any other educational opportunities that are of community interest. We value community involvement and strive to maintain long-lasting partnerships with others in order to best support our community.

We welcome any individual or group who would like to support our organization,  either through volunteering or personal donations. Check out our donation page or give us a call to inquire about volunteering opportunities.
